Since 2015, the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has initiated the "Pahanhan Grocery Store" (Pahanhan means "rest" in the Amis language) and the "Pacific Host Family" brand selection project. Integrating cultural characteristics with tribal tourism environments along the East Coast for spatial enhancements, thereby improving the quality of East Coast tribal tourist services. In 2022, the tribal space was chosen through an open selection process. From March 17 to 19, 2023, through collaborative efforts of academia and industry, students from the arts field were invited to participate in the space renovation project. There will be local specialty products for sale and other functions such as travel advisory services in the future.
The comprehensive renovation was completed at the end of March 2023. Each shop showcases its unique characteristics. Visitors are welcome to explore these distinctive tribal spaces, make reservations for experiential journeys, and purchase specialty products when visiting the East Coast.
