The East Coast National Scenic Area Headquarters, under the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, has partnered with small car rental operators to launch a free ‘local shuttle’ service. This service offers free transportation for tourists from transportation stations to remote accommodations.
Taitung County boasts 60 accommodation providers in areas such as Changbin, Chenggong, Nanheng, Taimali, Green Island, Luye, and Zhiben. Tourists can choose the nearest public transportation station to their accommodation, including six Taiwan Railway Stations (Yuli, Chishang, Guanshan, Luye, Zhiben, and Taimali) and Green Island’s Nanliao Fish Harbor. Travelers staying at these cooperative accommodations can easily book the free shuttle service through their accommodations, making it convenient to travel between their accommodation and the transportation stations. Additionally, tourists can take advantage of multiple travel discounts to explore and revitalize Hualien and Taitung, ensuring a comfortable and budget-friendly summer vacation.
