East Coast National Scenic Area

Due to typhoons' peripheral circulation, rogue waves are developing along the coast of Taitung, Hualien and Green Island. Visitors are advised to avoid sea activities these few days and not to loiter at the beach to watch the waves. The Administration has marked several coastal areas with warning tapes as a precautionary measure to restrict entry, including: Sanxiantai, Baxian Cave, Little Yehliu, Shitiping, Green Island’s Chaikou, Shilang and Dabaisha diving areas. For your own safety, please keep away from the coast.
For the safety of visitors, the Administration has temporarily closed Zhaori Hot Spring, Jiqi Beach Recreation Area and Sanxiantai, and suspended water recreation activities at Xiuguluan River. We seek your kind understanding and we shall reopen once the weather is stable.
