East Coast National Scenic Area

The Sanxiantai Recreational Area, managed by the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration of Tourism Bureau, MOTC (hereinafter the ECNSAA), is blessed with a unique landscape, rich and diverse wildlife, a beautiful starry sky without light pollution, and romantic gravel beaches. To allow visitors to enjoy the different scenery at night, the "Night Tour of Sanxiantai" series of environmental education activities has launched in 2022.

To celebrate the official launch, all tours in 2022 will be free of charge. Event registration has started and is fully online. To facilitate travel planning, registration is available as early as 15 days prior to the tour, and up to midnight, 3 days before the tour. Sign-ups at the event venue will not be accepted.

This year's tours will be offered from April 1st to October 31st on Fridays and Saturdays. Each tour lasts about 1 to 2 hours, led by a local, professional guide specialized in environmental education. There are two routes:

• Route A: The challenging route (involves crossing the arch bridge to Sanxiantai Island). The duration of the tour is about 2 hours. Only one group will be allowed per day.
• Route B: The relaxed route (does not involve crossing to Sanxiantai Island). The duration is about 1 hour, limited to two groups per day.

For both routes, the minimum for a group is 6 people, and the maximum is 10 people. The total daily limit is 3 groups (30 people). Visitors can choose a route fitting to their physical strength. All visitors are invited to explore the beauty of Sanxiantai at night.
