5760The Hualian-Taitung Coastal Highway is rated to be amongst the best bike routes in Taiwan. This April the 17th, the East Coast National Scenic Area will host the 8th annual East Coast Bike Event with JiaLuLan as the starting point. We are also happy to announce that this year we would be collaborating with the Audax Club Parisien for this event.
Other than the Hualian-Taitung Coastal Highway, both the 23rd and 30th Provincial Highway will be incorporated into this bike challenge. Furthermore, the East Coast Bike Event will be separated into three categories: 160km race, 85km mountain challenge, and the 60km cultural route. Just like last year, the 60km cultural route will guide you though various attractions, allowing you to experience the arts and crafts of the local tribes, and enjoy coastal sceneries that the East Coast has to offer.
The application fees of this event will range from 600TWD to 1100 TWD. Applicants will be provided with a biker’s kit that includes: an event T-shirt, cap, sunblock, face wash, time tracker and a lottery ticket. Water will be provided along the bike routes and there will also be food available at the finish line.
