Nanliao Fishing Harbor

Nanliao Fishing Harbor
Nanliao Fishing Port is where commuter boats between Taitung and Green Island dock. To the north you can see Bitou Cape and Green Island Lighthouse, and to the south Guiwanbi. On a good day, you can see Taiwan Island in the distance. The most visible landscape is Dawu Horst, the three mythical peaks standing beside each other. North Dawu Mountain is in the middle. On the left and right are South Dawu Mountain and Wutou Mountain, respectively. It is also a great spot to watch sunsets. On the left side of the image is the world-class diving paradise - Shilang Diving Area. The north-flowing Black Current of the Pacific Ocean passes through here. The tides here are more stable than those at Dabaisha. There are various atolls and fish schools around the rea, giving this place the reputation of an underwater park. It is an internationally renowned diving paradise and also the most well-known and easily accessible snorkeling spot in Green Island. The clusters of coral reefs on the shore are closely connected with the coral reefs in the shallow bay. The intertidal zone has thriving natural lives. The precious soft and hard corals and small fish swimming in between form a beautiful underwater landscape. You do not need to carry scuba equipment. Just wear goggles and snorkels to enjoy the magical world of corals. Every April or in summer, there is a chance to see flying fish jumping above the sea. The tranquil beauty is fascinating.
